How Much Does a GoDaddy Website Cost in the UK? (2026)

£7.49 to £74.99 a month for GoDaddy's UK website builder on an annual plan, or £14.99 to £149.99 paid monthly, as listed on 10 October 2026; the annual price is a first-year rate and GoDaddy does not show the renewal. Hosting from £3.99 a month, domains from £0.01 on a 3-year term, email from £0.99 a mailbox, and how that compares with a fixed-price build.

£7.49 to £74.99 a month for GoDaddy’s UK website builder when you pay for a year upfront, or £14.99 to £149.99 a month if you pay monthly, on the prices GoDaddy listed on 10 October 2026. The annual figures carry a first-year discount, and GoDaddy’s builder page does not say what they renew at. A domain, business email and VAT can sit on top, so the cheapest published GoDaddy site works out at about £90 for the first year before any VAT, and more from year two.

How much does a website cost through GoDaddy?

About £90 for the first year on the cheapest paid builder plan, which is Starter at £7.49 a month billed annually (£89.88), with a free domain for that first year. That is the floor for a site you can actually publish: GoDaddy’s free plan lets you build preview sites with 50 AI credits a month, but publishing a site starts on Starter. Most small businesses that want bookings or payments are pointed to Professional, which is £17.99 a month on an annual plan, or £215.88 for the year.

Three things move that figure. GoDaddy lists the builder prices without saying whether VAT is included; its hosting, domain and email pages state that all prices exclude applicable taxes and fees. The annual price includes “an extra discount on your first year”, and the renewal rate is not shown on the page. And the free domain lasts for the first year only, after which it renews at GoDaddy’s then-current price.

What are GoDaddy’s website builder pricing plans?

Four plans: Free, Starter, Professional and Ultimate, priced from £0 to £149.99 a month. GoDaddy’s website builder is now its Airo AI Builder, which writes the pages from a description and lets you edit them afterwards. Each plan comes with a monthly allowance of AI credits, and the plans differ in how many sites you can publish and whether you can take payments.

GoDaddy plan Billed annually (per month) Billed monthly What the plan includes, per GoDaddy
Free £0 £0 50 AI credits a month, unlimited preview sites, no card needed
Starter £7.49 £14.99 150 AI credits a month, publish 1 site or app, free custom domain on the annual plan
Professional £17.99 £36.99 300 AI credits a month, up to 10 sites, online payments, appointment bookings, product catalogue, advanced analytics
Ultimate £74.99 £149.99 750 AI credits a month, up to 50 sites, team collaboration, priority support

Source: GoDaddy UK Website Builder, read 10 October 2026. The free domain applies to annual plans only and is valid for the first year. GoDaddy also notes that credits expire at the end of each billing cycle and do not roll over.

What is the GoDaddy website yearly cost?

£89.88 for Starter, £215.88 for Professional and £899.88 for Ultimate in the first year on annual billing, before any tax. Paying month by month for twelve months costs £179.88, £443.88 and £1,799.88 respectively, roughly double, and the monthly plans do not include the free domain. Those annual totals are first-year prices only. GoDaddy does not publish the second-year rate for the builder on its UK plan page, so ask for it at checkout before you commit, and budget for it to be higher.

How much does it cost to run a website on GoDaddy?

From about £90 a year in year one for a builder site with its free domain, plus around £12 a year per mailbox if you add GoDaddy’s cheapest Microsoft 365 email. A realistic running bill has three parts: the builder or hosting plan, the domain once its free year ends, and email if you want an address at your own domain. Here is how those add up on GoDaddy’s listed first-year prices, all excluding tax.

Item GoDaddy first-year price What happens after
Website builder, Starter (annual) £89.88 Renewal price not shown on GoDaddy’s plan page
Domain Free for year one with an annual builder plan Renews at GoDaddy’s then-current price
Microsoft 365 Email Essentials, 1 mailbox £0.99 a month (£11.88) Renews at the then-current renewal rate; GoDaddy shows £6.49 a month struck through

The figure most people miss is year two, when every introductory discount ends at once. Read the renewal line for each item in your basket before paying.

What is the web hosting price at GoDaddy?

£3.99 to £7.49 a month for GoDaddy’s standard web hosting in the UK, for the first 1-year term, with prices excluding taxes and fees. Hosting is the right product if you want to run WordPress or upload your own site rather than use the builder. GoDaddy shows a higher price struck through next to each plan, and says introductory pricing is valid for the initial term only and that renewal pricing is subject to change.

Hosting plan First-year price Price shown struck through Sites and storage
Economy £3.99 a month £8.99 1 website, 25 GB NVMe, cPanel
Hosting for WordPress Basic £3.99 a month £11.99 1 website, 10 GB NVMe, WordPress pre-installed
Deluxe £5.99 a month £12.99 10 websites, 50 GB NVMe, cPanel
Ultimate £7.49 a month £16.99 25 websites, 75 GB NVMe, cPanel

Every plan lists a free domain, but GoDaddy’s own footnote names the extensions that qualify (.com, .net, .org and others) and .co.uk is not among them. The free SSL on Economy is free for the first year. For what to look for in a host generally, see our website hosting guide.

What is the cost of GoDaddy domain registration?

£0.01 for the first year of a .co.uk or a .com at GoDaddy, but only on a 3-year purchase, with the additional years at £12.99 (.co.uk) or £18.99 (.com). In practice that is £25.99 upfront for three years of a .co.uk, or £37.99 for a .com, before tax and fees. GoDaddy states that all domain prices exclude applicable taxes and fees, including ICANN fees, and that the sale price is valid for the initial purchase term only, with renewal pricing subject to change.

What is the cost of GoDaddy domain email?

£0.99 to £7.99 per mailbox a month for the first year on GoDaddy’s Microsoft 365 email plans, excluding tax. Each plan is shown next to a higher struck-through price, and GoDaddy’s disclaimer says discounted products renew at the then-current renewal rate until cancelled.

Email plan First-year price per mailbox Price shown struck through Storage
Microsoft 365 Email Essentials £0.99 a month £6.49 10 GB
Microsoft 365 Email Plus £3.29 a month £7.99 50 GB
Microsoft 365 Online Business Essentials £6.99 a month £11.99 50 GB, plus web Office apps and Teams
Microsoft 365 Business Professional £7.99 a month £15.99 50 GB, plus desktop Office apps

Source: GoDaddy UK Professional Business Email, read 10 October 2026. The “free email” listed with hosting plans is a free trial; GoDaddy’s note says activating it leads to automatic renewal at the then-current price until you cancel.

How much does GoDaddy charge to build a website?

GoDaddy does not publish a price for its UK web design service; you book a free consultation and get a quote. The page describes three plans: Standard Website (5 pages), Premium Website (up to 50 pages, with bookings and member logins) and Premium Web Store (WooCommerce, up to 500 products). GoDaddy says you pay a one-time fee for the build plus an annual hosting fee, that each plan includes copywriting and one round of design revisions, and that the process typically takes around six weeks from first call to launch (GoDaddy UK Website Design Services, read 10 October 2026).

Because no figure is published, we cannot put GoDaddy’s design service side by side with ours on price. What we can do is show ours, which are fixed and on the page before you speak to anyone:

Hire The Creatives package UK US What it covers
Starter £495 $625 1 to 5 pages, custom design, contact form, basic SEO and analytics, hosting setup; typically live in about a week
Business £1,495 $1,895 Up to 15 pages, bespoke design, WordPress you can edit, advanced SEO and speed work, Stripe payments, 90 days’ support
Premium From £3,995 From $4,995 Online stores, web apps and integrations, fixed before we start, 12 months’ support

The honest trade-off: a GoDaddy builder plan costs far less in year one than any of our builds, and if you are happy to write and arrange the pages yourself it may be all you need. Our builds are a one-off fee for a site designed and written for your business, and the domain and hosting are paid separately on top, as they would be anywhere.

Is GoDaddy website builder worth it?

Yes, if you want a simple site live this week for under £100 and are comfortable building it yourself; less so if you need the site to win work in a competitive market. The builder does the hard part of a first draft quickly, includes SSL, and GoDaddy says all plans come with built-in SEO tools. Where the value drops is the second year, when the first-year discount ends at a renewal rate the plan page does not show, and the point at which you need a page layout or feature the AI does not produce. For how GoDaddy sits against Wix, Squarespace and the rest on cost, see our comparison of website builder costs in the UK.

Is a GoDaddy website good for a small business?

It can be: GoDaddy pitches its Professional plan at £17.99 a month (annual) at local businesses, with online payments, deposits and appointment bookings included. For a sole trader who needs a contact page and a booking link, that covers the essentials. The questions to ask are the same for any platform: can you get your content out if you leave, what does it cost in year two, and will it rank for the searches your customers type. A builder site and a designed site can both rank; what matters is whether each page clearly answers the question someone searched.

Can I move my website from GoDaddy to another host?

Yes for your domain and for sites on GoDaddy’s cPanel hosting; for builder sites, it depends on which builder you are on. GoDaddy’s help centre explains how to transfer a domain away to another registrar, which typically takes 5 to 7 days, with a .uk domain moved by entering the new registrar’s IPS tag (GoDaddy Help, article 3560). Files on cPanel hosting can be downloaded through the File Manager or an FTP client (GoDaddy Help, article 16300).

For the current Airo builder, GoDaddy’s plan page says paid plans let you “download your code anytime”. For sites built on GoDaddy’s older Websites + Marketing builder, we could not find a GoDaddy help article describing a full site export, so confirm with GoDaddy what you can take with you before you cancel anything. If the answer is “text and images only”, the site will need rebuilding elsewhere, and that rebuild is a fixed-price job with us.

Why is my GoDaddy website not showing up on Google?

Usually because Google has not found or indexed it yet; Google says it can take a few weeks to notice a new site, and it does not guarantee to crawl or index any page. Search Google for site:yourdomain.co.uk to see what is indexed, then add the site to Google Search Console, which will show errors stopping Google reading it (Google Search Central, Get your website on Google). Google lists robots.txt rules blocking Googlebot, robots meta rules that disallow indexing, server problems and low-quality content among the common reasons a page is not crawled or indexed (How Google Search works).

Google also says it “doesn’t accept payment to crawl a site more frequently, or rank it higher”, so a bigger plan will not fix this on its own. Check that the site is published, not still in preview, and that the domain points at it. Our fuller checklist is in why your website is not showing up on Google.
